A Brief Company History…

NC Logística, formerly knowned as Natureza em Congelados was founded in 1998 by Engineer Eurico Cid, who was the main responsible for the current positioning of the company. It was thanks to his vision and sensitivity as a CEO that he realized that the temperature controlled storage market was booming. The consumption habits and way of Portuguese living, already pointed to the consumption increase of frozen and chilled products. It was when he decided to rent his first warehouse, which was located in Alverca. It was in this warehouse, whose storage capacity didn’t even reach the 1,000 pallets, that Natureza em Congelados made itself known to the market.

In the first 6 years of business the first partnerships were created, the first dedicated operations, the first mistakes and the first victories. In fact were 6 years of existence that would mark a very positive way throughout the company’s history.

Eurico Cid, and his team easily realised that their clients success, would also be the success of his company. This motto has led the NC Logística team to always want to perform better and better. And the result of all the effort and dedication was the recognition by its customers, because they could rely on a highly motivated partner.

In 2004 the brand Natureza em Congelado began to take shape, and the storage capacity was internally called into question. Requests for partnership increased and the space was not enough and Eurico Cid decided to rent another warehouse that was next to the existing one. With this decision the company has doubled its storage capacity, and significantly increased its customer base. It was in this space that the company achieved three extremely important licenses, the Customs, the License Control Point, and the Export Warehouse License.

With the same motto and the same will, the company continued to gain ground, and the need for expansion happened again in 2014. It was then that was given its biggest step, renting a refrigerated warehouse located in Alverca Park. Changing from a horizon of 2000 pallets to 6000 pallets. To Eurico Cid the decision to move premises was an extremely important step to his activity, all the know-how that was brought from old facilities, and storage capacity increase took the company into a very comfortable position within the market where it operates.

Currently, the company presents itself to costumers as NC Logística, reinventing itself with a more updated and modern look. The website was built from scratch and all the institutional information changed.

OUR MISSION

In NC Logística our main mission is to understand our customers business to offer them specialised services, both in primary activities and support. Differentiation through personalised service, an efficient information system and a motivated team, making us a reliable business partner for our customers, generating and providing one of the core values of our corporate culture: Trust.

Another very important component of our mission is to ensure the conservation status of the clients product since its reception, storage, and distribution.

NC LOGÍSTICA IN NUMBERS

  • Our warehouse has a capacity of 70,000 m3 divided between Frozen, Chilled and room Temperature. We are able to allocate 7300 frozen pallets, 100 refrigerated pallets and 600 pallets at room temperature.

  • We store several groups of products, from fish, various meats, vegetables, pastry and bakery products, various fruits, ice cream, delicatessen products, biscuits, rice, ice, precooked dishes, butters and cheeses, among other products.

  • Our 30 workers benefit from continuous training programs, provided both internally and externally, in order to strengthen their know-how and prepare them for new challenges ahead.

  • We currently have ongoing Management System Certification of ISO 9001, Food Safety Management System Certification ISO 22000 and the implementation of EAN.

  • We are expanding our frozen storage capacity, in order to gain capacity for more 1500 pallets.
